This month we wrote our kids about John ch 4. The story about Jesus and the woman at the well always makes me reflect on my faith. Keeping our eyes focused on Him and “His living water”. God bless as always feel free to copy and use for your kids. Take a moment and write your kids today. Your words of love and encourage mean the world to your kids. Be inspired! Laura
One of my favorite story’s in the Bible is the one where Jesus talks with the Samaritan woman at the well. Jesus teaches us that we should love people that are different then us and not fear them. He tells us about His “living water” and that we should share our faith.
At the well Jesus meets this woman. We never find out her name only that she is a Samaritan. Back in theses days Jews did not talk to people like her. So the fact that Jesus talks and shares to her is a lesson I want to write to you about. Jesus did not care about her background or that she was A person the culture did not associate with. He cared about one thing offering her His “living water”. He asked her for a drink of water and her response was do you know who I am. Jesus loved her and saw past her sin. He responds by telling her about all her sins in her life. Because of His love and convicting words she Excepts him as her Savior. This is not where the story ends. Later in the chapter we find out that many people become saved due to this woman’s testimony about Jesus.
10 Jesus answered her, “If you knew the gift of God and who it is that asks you for a drink, you would have asked him and he would have given you living water.” 13 Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again,14 but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.” John 4:10,12-13.
This living water is the gift of salvation. Jesus loves you no mater your sin, background or race. He teaches us to except people and love them. We pray you would reach out to the people in your life that are hard to talk to or you don’t get along with. Reach out to them and share your faith in Jesus. Share the light in the darkness with them. See how far God can use you to win the lost.
