One of my favorite parts in the Bible is the Armor of God. Because of this love it inspired me to do a series of letters on how God protects us with His Armor. I wanted my kids to understand that God provides us with protection and we can put it on daily. I want to encourage you to shine Gods love to your kids and you write them. You are welcome to uses my ideas and my letters. I pray this gives you inspiration!
I am going to write to you today about the 1st part of the armor of God in Ephesians 6:10-18.
Stand firm then, with the belt of truth buckled around your waist. Ephesians 6:14a
The Bible verses starts with stand firm. What does it mean to stand firm in the Lord? The Lord is our firm foundation nothing can shake or brake His strength. So when you put on the armor of God you are putting on his protection. You can be reassured that when you stand with the Lord his mighty power will uphold you.
The first part in His armor is the belt of truth. The belt is warn by soldier to firmly secure the soldier's weapons needed to fight. The belt is being compared to Gods truth and If we are to stand up to evil, we must be firmly secured by the truth that is found only in Jesus. So as you go into this week we pray you lean on Jesus. Trusting in Him with all your questions, desires, and needs.
