Abba father

 God bless and happy day! Today was letter writing day for my compassion kids. For this letter, I’m continuing in my series on God’s names. Abba father is the name that I wrote about this month. I love that we can call God father and that we are his child. What a blessing it is the God of the universe loves us so much. As always feel free to copy my letters and use them for your kids. Hello my dear friend. My heart has been reflecting on how God is our Heavenly Father. Abba is the name of God I would like to talk to you about. It is found in  Galatians 4:6-7 and it says, Because you are his sons, God sent the Spirit of his Son into our hearts, the Spirit who calls out, “Abba, Father.” So you are no longer a slave, but God’s child; and since you are his child, God has made you also an heir.

I love that we can call God our Father “Abba”.  I want to encourage you to cry out in all things to God your Heavenly Father.  You are His child and He loves you and will guide you in your life. Imagine the God of all creation loves you like a dad. He spread the stars in the sky, He split the Red Sea, He healed the blind and He died for us on the cross. The Lord of Lords loves you and knows you by name. The depth of His love for you is beyond measure. As you go into this week remember God holds you like a loving dad. I call my dad daddy has been my name for him since I was a kid. Just like my earthly father’s nickname I can call my Heavenly Father daddy also. We pray you trust in the God who loves you without limits. Trusting in God is what will carry you through life’s trials and give you peace. 

And I pray that you, being rooted and established in love, may have power, together with all the Lord’s holy people, to grasp how wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ,

and to know this love that surpasses knowledge—that you may be filled to the measure of all the fullness of God. Ephesians 3:17-19
