The bright Oriole

This month I am continuing in my favorite bird series. I wrote to them about the Baltimore oriole. Bright and colorful I always look forward to this bird in the summer. May God bless you this week and give you peace. As always feel free to use and copy my letters for your kids. Be inspired

Hi from Wisconsin my friend.  We are so blessed to have you in our lives. We love you! Spring is in the air and the snow is melting.  It makes me think of some of our favorite birds.

I want to share with you about another one of our favorite birds Baltimore oriole. They are beautiful birds and I love when they visit our bird feeders. Fun little fact they love grape jelly and oranges. In the summer we put out feeders that have these in them. Male orioles have brilliant orange underparts and shoulder patches, with black wings and a black head. Females are not as brightly colored. The females are a  pretty yellow and tan. When you live in Wisconsin you will see this cute birds often. There nests are very unique because they hang like a basket off of the branches of trees. The Baltimore Oriole’s basket-like hanging nest are neat to see. Over five to eight days, females weave together whatever strong fibers they can find—grass, weeds, animal hair, string—until the nest is completed. They look like tear drops for there shape. They are only in Wisconsin in the summer. So I am looking forward to them migrating back here soon. Gods creatures and nature all shine His glory.

I love looking into the sky hoping to see beautiful birds. Listening to the  sounds of nature and Gods music gives me joy.  God is so good and full of mercy.  As we end the Easter season I am reminded that Gods blessings are truly wonderful.  He has given us all we need. When we are in need He blesses us with all we require.  Sometimes it may feel like God is far away. We pray you feel His love and peace daily. We also pray you continue to read the Bible and dig into His word.  Jesus is our foundation and He is never shaken. Our redeemer lives and when you know Him as your Savior He lives in you.  Our God is compassionate, loving and kind. We pray as you go into this week that you would reflect His love to others. Be the light that draws others to Christ and His salvation.

Let the heavens rejoice, let the earth be glad; let the sea resound, and all that is in it. Let the fields be jubilant, and everything in them; let all the trees of the forest sing for joy. Let all creation rejoice before the LORD psalm 96:11-13

Sending you photos of the Baltimore oriole bird. We hope you enjoy. God bless and have a peaceful week.

Love always mark and Laura
