This month I am continuing my armor of God Serious. It is on the sword of the spirit which is the word of God. I want to encourage you as you head into this week that you remember you can trust in God in all things. I pray you will take a moment and send your kids a letter today. Feel free to use my letters for your kids. God bless and Be inspired
Hello my friend in Christ! We pray God bless this day with joy and peace. We have been looking forward to continuing in our Ephesians chapter 6 series. The sword is the next part of the armor of God. It represents the Bible “the word of God”. If we want to defeat the enemy and his attacks against us, we need to store up the word of God in our hearts. Not only do we need to read the bible we must practice what it teaches. So what does the Bible teach us?
Love:
37 Jesus replied: Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind.38 This is the first and greatest commandment. 39 And the second is like it: ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.’ Matthew 22:37-39
Be kind and forgive:
32 Be kind and compassionate to one another, forgiving each other, just as in Christ God forgave you. Ephesians 4:32
Trust in God:
26 Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26
Salvation:
16 For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. John: 3:16
Depending on God:
22 Cast your cares on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous be shaken. Psalms 55:22
The Bible:
12 For the word of God is alive and active. Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the heart. Hebrews 4:12
As you head into this week we pray you remember that the word of God is truth. God never lies or deceives you. His word is truth and you can trust Him above all things. We pray you will read the Bible daily and soak in His truths. When all else’s fails you can look to God for wisdom and strength. We want to encourage you to look to God before your life gets stressful. Look to Him who can guide you and lead you into peace.
