Christmas 2021

Hello my friends. Here is my Christmas letter for 2021 to our kids. My mother in law wrote this for a kid I help her write. We wrote about Mary and Elizabeth’s relationship this year. Christ is the reason for the season. God bless and be inspired! Feel free to use this letter to spark a flame for your own letters. I pray that you feel God give you direction on how you should write in your Christmas letter. God bless Laura

Marry Christmas! You may get this a little early but we wanted you to get it before Christmas! I love this time of year! The music, gifts, food and family are all part of this holiday!  But more important then all of that stuff is the birth of Christ.

I’ve been thinking on the relationship of Elizabeth and Mary. How God worked out the birth of John the Baptist and Jesus Christ. It all starts when when an angel comes to talk to Mary about the child she carrying. How scared Mary must of been but the angle told her she had found favor with God and she will give birth to the Son of God and He is to be named Jesus. Elizabeth is the next part of this story. She is Mary relative and dear friend. The angel tells Mary Elizabeth is also pregnant and she should not be afraid.  Elizabeth is going to give birth to John Who will tell of Jesus coming and Mary will be blessed with Jesus.

Mary was so excited when she heard of Elizabeth being pregnant that she hurried to see her.  When Elizabeth heard Mary voice Her baby (John) leaped for joy in her womb. Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit and she delivered a message of encouragement to Mary.  It was a joyful moment for Mary because she realized that God had blessed her and God fulfilled His promise through her.

Mary Visits Elizabeth Luke 1:39-45

39 At that time Mary got ready and hurried to a town in the hill country of Judea, 40 where she entered Zechariah’s home and greeted Elizabeth. 41 When Elizabeth heard Mary’s greeting, the baby leaped in her womb, and Elizabeth was filled with the Holy Spirit. 42 In a loud voice she exclaimed: “Blessed are you among women, and blessed is the child you will bear! 43 But why am I so favored, that the mother of my Lord should come to me? 44 As soon as the sound of your greeting reached my ears, the baby in my womb leaped for joy. 45 Blessed is she who has believed that the Lord would fulfill his promises to her!”

We want to encourage you to have the spirit of joy this season. The last few years have been hard for people around the world. But God is always there and He never abandons us! Trust in Him in all you do and listen to His whispers. We are so thankful you are in our lives! God blessed us with you! We pray you have a wonderful Christmas and a happy new year.

Armor of God part 3

Hi guys this is part 3 of the Armor of God. Ephesians 6:10-18. Today’s I am writing a letter on 6:15 this concentrates on our feet’s armor. The Gospel is the corner stone of our faith and trusting in Christ is our foundation. I pray this letter helps you if you are in a writers block or just need inspiration. As always feel free to copy my letters to your kids. Take the time today to send a letter to your kids! I know they are looking forward to hearing from you! God bless and happy writing.

I have been reflecting on Christ love lately. How we can trust Him no matter where he leads us. Christ is our foundation and it is fitting that our shoes be the next part of the Armor God. Our feet direct us and lead us to where we are going to travel. It is important to keep following Gods lead and His path. The Armor for our feet is the gospel of peace and this will lead us through any spiritual battle we go into. Gods gift of peace through Jesus is the strongest foundation anyone can have. Christ  birth, life, death and resurrection is the gospel you can trust in!  Your heart, mind and soul must trust in Christ and Christ alone. Are you ready to let God lead you and do you have a heart that is willing to follow Him? Readiness means you are prepared to follow and trust in the one who created you. So as you head into today strap on your foot wear of the gospel. It will Comfort, protect and guide you wherever the Lord leads you.

15 And with your feet fitted with the readiness that comes from the gospel of peace. Ephesians 6:15
